DL0SHF Group - Klaus Fenger (DF5DU), Per Dudek (DK7LJ) and
Joachim Köppen (DF3GJ)

The group at DL0SHF have turned their considerable expertise towards detecting pulsars.  Details of three pulsars detected are given as of 23rd December, 2015 - B0329+54, B0950+08 & B1933+16.

Other Details

A 9-meter dish primarily designed for EME is used. Therefore, the machine is optimized for 1296 MHz. The passband width to 1296 MHz is 40 MHz. The system noise of the system is <45 K.

 After amplification and bandpass-filtering, for measurement a Power Meter HP EPM-441A is used.  The 0-1V detected output signal of the EPM-441A goes to an A/D converter in a CEBO USB stick which has 4 analog inputs with 12 bit resolution and three digital inputs - which may be operated as a trigger input. For the first measurements it has been found that the accuracy of this arrangement was sufficient.

 The CEBO Stick is designed for USB operation and comes with a number of programs. The 'Cebo Multi logger' is used as well as separate custom software, written by Joachim Köppen. The data generated is written with a time stamp of the CEBO Stick in a *.txt file.  For evaluation of the *.txt files more special-purpose software was written.

Results: detection of three pulsars: B0329+54, B0950+08 & B1933+16.
